About the product
Roses are the favoured amongst many countries and there are thousands of native and artificially cultivated rose species.
However, there are only three species from which essential oils can be extracted (Damascena rose, white rose, Grasse May rose). Rose essential oil is mainly produced From Bulgaria, Morocco, Turkey and France.
Damascus rose, also known as Otto rose, is a deciduous shrub plant of the Rosaceae family and the genus Rosa. It has beautiful
pink flowers and is native to Syria.
As it was introduced to Europe during the Crusades, the top production areas are now in the vast valley between the two mountain ranges in the Balkan Mountains in central Bulgaria.
Also known as Rose Valley, the fertile soil, suitable climate, abundant sunshine, and excellent environment have cultivated the
world-famous Damask rose, and it's extract is regarded as the best of all rose essential oils.
The process of refining the rose essential oil is long and labour-intensive. Harvesting workers must pluck the flowers after the first morning dew and distill them immediately to yield more essential oils.
Typically, it takes 4,500 kilograms of rose petals to obtain one kilogram of rose essential oil, slowly refined in low-pressure steam without the use of chemical detergents. The high quality essential oil derived from this process is also known as "Otto" rose essential oil.
The essential oils is highly concentrated with a refreshing and comfortable aroma. A little goes a long way with the rose essential oil. The oil can become viscous at low temperatures but will quickly return to the liquid form when heated with the palm of your hands.
Bulgarian rose essential oil benefits one's mood, body and skin. When breathed in, it is believed the aromatic molecules allows the brain to release dopamine through endorphins (the happy hormone), providing a sense of warmth and confidence. After dilution, rub on the chest to help with circulation which may benefit the heart. It is also suitable for mature men and can be used to enhance intimacy.
Bulgarian rose essential oil is also known as the "Queen of Flowers" due to its affinity for the female private areas, and is used to help regulate, smooth, tighten, and enhance women sensuality.
It is also a powerful anti-aging essential oil used in skincare, promoting regeneration and activation, providing anti-wrinkle, brightening effects for the skin and spots. It is suitable for all skin types (except acne-prone).
It is particularly beneficial to mature, dry, sensitive, and hardened skin. It has astringent and soothing properties and can improve capillary dilation, and is treasured by many.
