About the product
Evergreen tree, Cypress of Cupressaceae, grows in subtropical island-type mountains with an altitude between
1400-2800 meters, where the climate is cool, humid, rainy and cloudy all the year round. The century-old hinoki
forest stands in the area where the woods and coniferous forests intersects.
Hinoki grows very slowly, and it takes between 120 to 130 years for the trunk diameter to grow to 50 cm. The tree
emits a unique and rich fragrance, high in oxygen, and one of the highest emitters of forest phytoncide.
The essential oil output is very limited, with only 5 litres of oil extracted from every 1000 kg of hinoki wood chips
and dust. The distillation process is slow and at a low temperature. The oil is bright reddish-amber in color and
has a strong aroma. Only a small amount is needed to fill a room with hinoki aroma.
The essential oil contains components such as hinokitiol and pine oil, which are indispensable in every day life.
Just a few drops is needed to bring a sense of wellness and forest aromas to your family.
