About the product
Bergamot, a symbol for sunshine and positivity, is native to the town of Bergamo in Northern Italy and which the Bergamot fruit
is named after.
Citrus, Rutaceae, tree height of up to 4.57 meters with long green leaves and white flowers, the fruit with pitted skin is like a cross between a tangerine and lemon. The essential oil can be extracted by pressing the peel, with production taking place mainly from Italy and Morocco.
The bergamot tree is the most delicate of all citrus plants and requires a special climate and soil to thrive. The essential oil has a beautiful light green color, and exhibits a refreshing citrus aroma with a hint of cream. It is also one of the important ingredients in earl grey tea and perfume manufacturing.
For hundreds of years, Italian folk medicine has often used bergamot. It was not until modern times that bergamot began to appear in countries outside Italy.
It is worth noting that this is different to the eastern citron (also referred to as bergamot or oriental tangerine).
Bergamot essential oils are often used to elevate the mood and boost optimism. They can also be used in body care and wellness like the eucalyptus, and jointly prevent seasonal blues.
It is a commonly used essential oil for abdominal care, helping and improving discomfort and can be used as part of feminine hygiene routines.
