About the product

Rutaceae and citrus plants are native to Asia and are now widely planted in the Mediterranean region and the United States. The aromatic essential oils are obtained by cold-pressing the peel. Because the oil glands are deeply buried in the peel, the amount

of essential oil extracted is small. Most of the essential oils are produced in Israel, Brazil and the United States.

Grapefruit essential oil has a wide range of applications. It is used widely in food (as flavouring), cosmetics and perfume industries.

In addition to its fragrant smell, it can compliment other essential oils for synergistic effects.

Grapefruit essential oil can be used to care for the body and mind. It can balance and centre, relieve depression and promote optimism. Like bergamot, it is especially suitable for alleviating low moods caused by the lack of sunlight in winter.

It is easy to metabolise, and is often used in slimming oil blends. It can also be used with Comp. Boul. Copahierl essential oil to massage tight and tired muscles.

Grapefruit essential oils can contain vitamin c, and can be added to shower gel or body lotion to smooth and brighten the skin.
