About the product

There are many different varieties of marjoram. The most well-known is the sweet marjoram, a small plant about 25 cm tall with

small oval leaves and white or pink flowers.

Sweet marjoram are perennial wild herbs of the Lamiaceae family. They like to grow in sunny environments and are produced in

areas such as Yugoslavia, Hungary and the Mediterranean coast, but most of the essential oils are produced in France.

A popular herb in ancient Greece, it is a close relative of wild marjoram, but the two essential oils are completely different in scent and function.

The aroma of sweet marjoram essential oil is light and soothing and can help calm an overactive mind. Deep, calm breathing supports and stablises mood, relieves anxiety, stress and inner discomfort. It also has the effect of assisting sleep.

Sweet Marjoram essential oil has the effect of promoting circulation and repair. It is suitable for use on the back and limbs, and

can be rubbed on the abdomen to aid digestion.

Marjoram essential oil, blended with clary sage essential oil, is commonly used to soothe monthly feminine discomfort.

Nowadays, marjoram is often found in European country gardens. In addition to it's popular aroma, it is also used in dishes to

flavour, and support digestion. As it is commonly grown in vegetable gardens, it is also called "garden oregano".
