About the product
Citrus is a small evergreen tree in the Rutaceae family. It is native to Asia, but is now planted around the world, mostly in
Southern Europe, Florida and California.
It has irregular branches, shiny oval leaves and pure white or pink flowers with a strong fragrance. There are many types
of lemons, and the difference depends on the thickness of the skin, the intensity of the aroma and the amount of juice.
Unripen fruits are able to produce essential oils with a stronger aroma.
Lemon has long been recognized for its purifying effect. The Egyptians believed it was a good cleanser for meat and fish.
In subtropical areas, it is frquently used for beverages and cooking. In addition to its favourable smell and taste, it has
antibacterial and cleansing effects. It also supports gut wellbeing.
Lemon juice is rich in vitamin C, a necessary elixir for early navigators as drinking it during long voyages can be used to
prevent "scurvy".
The aroma of lemon essential oil can relax and uplift the spirit. Diffusing it in the air can smooth breathing, balance pressure,
and improve self-prevention of diseases.
It is also an excellent oil used to support circulation, such as when blended with cypress essential oil to alleviate the discomfort
