About the product
Helichrysum is a xerophytic shrub plant in the Asteraceae family. It is native to Italy but is now grown in other parts of the world.
It can be seen on the Mediterranean coast at altitudes above 1,700 meters. Its golden flower clusters never fade after being
picked hence the nickname immortal flower.
The flowers bloom in May to July every Summer and are harvested and distilled for its essential oil. However, the yield of oil is
very low (about only 0.2% to 0.3%) and one tonne of flowers can only produce 2 to 3 kilograms of essential oils.
The essential oil has a thick texture with a sweet and warm chrysanthemum aroma. It can soothe and ease depression, giving
people a sense of emotional warmth.
Helichrysum essential oil is beneficial to the maintenance of physical and mental health. Its softening and dredging functions
are beneficial for massaging on the back of the neck and shoulders in the cold Winter mornings. It is also beneficial for use
when meditating or practicing 'Qigong', and helps penetrate the passage of Qi or energy.
It enhances the body's self-recovery power and can help protect against seasonal changes. It is also a good helper for abdominal digestion. Due to its dredging effect, it may help ease and support bruises and veins.
